Access Control System For Exhibitions | Visitor Management System

Exhibitions

Access Control System For Exhibitions, William Cohen was looking out of his office window and thinking about the upcoming international automotive fair that his firm was organizing at the new convention center. His attention was particularly focused on the way so many different categories of visitors will access the exhibition, the multiplicity of access controls he will have to exercise across pavilions and the flow of authorized people he will have to manage for the multitude of events & shows. He was also worried about any mishap that may occur and how certain he could be that the thousands of people inside would know about the evacuation route. Another headache he had to cater for was the reconciliation of the cash collected with the number and type of passes issued. William was also acutely conscious that if he had access to all the data of the visitors such as who visited which stall, who showed interest in which product, exhibitors-wise footfalls at different time periods within a day and across days, he could create tremendous value for all the exhibitors and open up a new stream of revenue for his firm. But the present system of access control, part manual and part automated that a typical exhibition deployed, was barely adequate to deal with the issues of access control. It was too much to expect a meaningful Emergency Response System (ERS) or value creation from these systems.

William asked his team to study all the latest automated access control systems available in the market and after carefully considering all the options, chose truMe, which is an IoT based global identity and access management system.  truMe addresses all the pain points of the organizers of large exhibitions/ international fairs, not just in respect of the access control but also the ERS and the data analytics that creates value by being a force multiplier for individual exhibitors.

Finally, William deployed the truMe platform – the Access Gate Controllers and the app – for access control at the international automotive fair. And what an experience it turned out to be. All his access control needs – different categories of visitors, variety in passes, diversity of authorization levels, differentiated flow of people to events/ shows – were taken care of by the truMe platform without requiring any manual intervention at all. On top of that, the platform had an in-built ERS. In case of any security hazard – a fire breakout or a terrorist attack, all the people inside the convention center would get an instant alert with the evacuation route. However, the biggest source of William’s delight was the plethora of value creation opportunities that the amazing data analytics now at his command provided. He knew who all visited each stall, their duration of stay, the frequency of their visit – time-wise and date-wise etc.  He also knew which all stalls an individual visited and level of her interest basis frequency and duration of her visit etc. He knew he could slice and dice such information in many ways and help create value for the individual exhibitors.

William was happy he chose truMe.
